The day or two after I start a blog here they take the blogs off the main diyaudio home page. Figures.

Keep going. Its a good place to make your design visible without a lot of noise.

It is indeed a great place to put all your own stuff without having it killed by noise.
I took blogs off the front page because after 2 months I didn't feel there was enough consistent quality, in comparison with the spam spam.
Perhaps just taking it off isn't the best short term solution. Instead, bloggers who consistently post useful information could have their blogs flagged to be included on the front page list... I'll have to custom code that.
