    This DIYAudio thread is a must read for regulator design. I may go a bit simpler, but I love the CSS, and the shunt seems solid.

    Despite the answer that the B1 passive filter negates the shunt, it seems desirable to have some capacitance local unless the regulator is in the chassis with the B1. Also the Low Z is still an incredable feature.

    Here are the Equations for Salas Shunt V1

    ICCS=(Vf3Leds-Vgs)/R1 Decide target current, derive needed R1.

    Vref=VfD1+0.6V=Vout Can be Zener or Leds. Measure their Vf at about 6mA
    add them up in two matched strings for +/- regs

    The finally got tired of answering for each voltage and current LOL
