Love it! And they look amazing!

Just fired up my HPM-60's for the first time in months, and I was blown away... Again... (Recently bought a 310 sub and 290 satellites from MBQuart from ~1990, but I like the HPM's sound way better! (but didn't do a side-by-side comparison yet))

Are the HPM-100's always 200W or are the 'old' ones with a foam surround less powerful?
I drive my HPM-60's (30Wrms, foam surround) with a 100Wrms amp, and they love it. Going by this, you'd need a 600Wrms amp 🙂

Hi,

A few pics of my HPM-100 as promised. 🙂

Not the best quality due to bad ligtning ( a bulb popped) and I'm no good using flash.

What do you drive them with?

45w + 45w Pioner SA-610 for now

HP-100 never came with foam surrounds..

Very clean looking Anders ! What do you clean them with ?

Thanks guys. I just conditioned the cabinets today with Howards Feed N Wax.
The cabinets look richer and leaves a nice luster to it.
They are better than new now 😛

Money well spent.

I stand corrected. I think I may have confused them with the HPM-150's.

But since I have never seen either (100 or 150) in the flesh, I am far from being an expert 😉, just merely an enthousiast.

(But even if I would ever run into a clean 100 or 150 set for peanuts like some of you seem to do 😀, not sure the wife would let me buy them after adding three sets of speakers in the last 3 weeks...
including my first Wharfedales (Denton 2XP), possibly even older than my HPM's?) and 1990's MBQuart sub+satellite (310/290))

Update:
Well here are the finished stands. Im very pleased with them ! :-D
What do you think ?

They are 4 way but i always suspected that the HPM tweeter didn't do much. HPM equals high polymer material. It was a plaastic film that expanded under voltage. Form it into a cylinderr and the expansion converts to outward growth. They had a large floor stander with HPM full cylinder mid and tweet.
