Buying 500 uF NPE's in europe

Hi there,

As my first speaker DIY project I have chosen Wolf's PC speakers but I am having a very difficult time finding the 500uF 100V bi-polar capacitor needed in any webshop in Denmark or even europe. Paying $40-$50 for having two $7 capacitors Fed'exed from the US blows my budget 🙂 so does anybody here know of a european based webshop selling these?

Being a noob I had to Google that🙂 From what I found shouldn't it be two 1000uF polarized electrolytes wired in anti-parallel if I require a 500uF non-polarized cap?

Why do you want non polar?
Polarized cap is Ok serial connected to a speaker.

Henrik, you can use there 470uF/63V:

Why do you want non polar?....

That question must be put to mr. Wolf 🙂 I just follow his simple design requiring a 500uF non-polar electrolyte. I guess there must be a reason for him specifying that but I do not have the knowledge to say why.
