What is the best 10 inch high sensitivity midwoofer for homehifi?

I know that 10 inch high sensitivity drivers are usually in PA drivers category and what is the best 10 inch PA high sensitivity midwoofer(not pure midrange) for homehifi?

I want the driver which is able to provide very smooth/transparent/detailed midrange up to 1.2khz or even 1.5khz.

The enclosure will be sealed or vent or PR design, not an open baffle. I prefer the neodymium magnet motor for lightweight.

The followings are some examples such as DeltaLite II 2510/Ciare 10NDH-3/faital10PR300/faital10FH500/faital10FH520/faital10HP1020/Beyma/B&C/AE......ETC

Please give me some of your suggestion or experience sharing. Thank you all very much!

I have a lot of experience using the Volt 2500.4 which is a very good driver, but if you don't care about the first 2 octaves or so, then you can try some Faital Pro's and have higher output in the 200hz+

While the Volt 2500.4 is still comfortable at 800hz-1khz, i think the 10PR300 would be very useable up to 2khz.

If you want something that can also act as a subwoofer, the best choice i know is the Visaton TIW 250 XS: high Sd/Mms ratio while keeping good xmax and low Fs. Will it keep the road 'til 1.2khz ? I don't know.

There is compromises everywhere, no matter what.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Very nice natural FR, excellent specs... I think the 10PR300 is a perfect choice if you plan to go up to 1.5khz and if you have planned some back-up for the lower-end.

Basically, you need a ''midrange'' 10in. driver as 1.5khz is a little out of the usual midbass bandwith...

The 10PR300 will probably be very similar as the Supravox performance, but at a fraction of the cost.

B&C CL 51 with/without LP filter

Not bad for a PA unit.

It's not a neo like you asked for, but the lower priced FaitalPro 10FE200 looks really sweet in its published data (assuming that the plot is accurate for production units). I have several of these around here, new, that I never got around to testing yet... got drawn into miniaturized coincident horns instead.

The JBL 2123 is only available on the used market, but they are rather plentiful (in the USA, at least). The AE drivers are, indeed, very nice. But much more expensive than a 2123. And I would argue that when used as a midrange the 2123 is pretty darned good.

I have the JBL2123 as mids in my setup. They are very natural sounding, and measure as flat as JBL claim. They are super easy to work with as a result.

Additionally, they are extraordinarily efficient, which means they are quite very easy to drive and integrate into a system. With their 3" voice coil, outside serious sound reinforcement it would take a heroic effort to overpower them.

If you can find some on the market that are in reasonable condition, I would suggest you try them out.
