For low noise you need large transistors, and every time I saw a "zero offset" amplifier used, there was trouble. The zero offset technique means sampling and aliasing troubles. beware of using the zero offset current monitors in RF type stages...
The thinner oxides and finer geometries get better offset parameters as shown by M Pelgrom. Now we can predict offset related to mosfet size and the technology related "pelgrom parameters"
