If wanting to have a selectable attenuation at the input of a power amplifier with a balanced/differential input, like 0 or -6 dB, would you go with two L-pads or one U-pad. Carefully matched resistors ofc in both cases. And why?
U pad, because one resistor (shunt) is then out of equation for matching. 2 serial resistors still need matching for good CMR.
