BA3 Build, test, installation

Built a BA3 pre for a friend. He had a highly modified PAS tube pre that was dead. I gutted his PAS chassis and installed the BA3 pre. picture attached.

Here is how I checked out the BA3. The signal chain is

Television -> PL X2.5 -> BA3 Pre -> Zen V4 headphone amp -> Headphones

The sound is dead quiet with many different combinations gain settings.

Here is my friend's speaker system. This is the left side. 3-way Seas MTM system.

He is thrilled with the BA3 preamp. I listened to several songs and the imaging is stunning. The sound emerges from a black background.

This friend is a long time audiophile. He loves the BA3 pre in his system.

Here is the power supply. Antek transformers. eBay dual regulator boards set for + / - 24v.
