@Monteverdi ,
I have the non opposing ripole. I have no clue at which frequency it would resonate. I don't go higher than 60hz. I do have a peak at 37hz, but suppose that's room mode related.
Looking at the difference between the designs I would think the two driver ripole will have less resonance. Both drivers push against eachother. Whilst in the single one the driver pushes against the enclosure. And at that point it is a rather large surface.
A ripole from 30 to 150hz seems rather a stretch to me.

After finding the right front and back ports surfaces, I intend to make a box less tall, but wider, to fit underneath my system
Will the dipole effect be the same, considering that I keep the optimum surfaces ports?

^^ I don't think the change would be noticeably if at all any unless its a drastic change. May be you can compare with combined output for both cases in Hornresp.
I am not so excited with the sims for W5 so I will defer this project for a while.Interesting to see how some long excursion small 5inch driver like Tangband W5 1138 will do under desk!

I wonder if that would work. The back will be very close to the back wall/logs.
In general you would like to have more distance from the back wall with open baffle.

With this position, I intend to overlapp over 150 Hz with the low bass of the ob and to compensate with the right phase and delay on the dsp the loss of the back side of the ob
Since it is a small cavity with SLS Peerless 10”, I hope that the resonance will be over 150Hz
It is a long shot, but it worth to try

I did have a ripole with 2 10" peerless. I did make a second to get decent output around 20hz. But you made a test setup. Does it deliver enough output for you around the 30hz?

That looks good I think. How is it at the listening position? I wanted to go lower than 30hz. Down to 10hz. That would have been my problem. Couldn't get to 20hz with the 2 either, so I made another subwoofer with more power.

Just browsing for a possible driver I found that 10”woofer specifically designed for open baffle https://audioxpress.com/article/test-bench-the-uf295fas-thin-profile-dipole-10-woofer-from-neotera
Not very sensitive and also no idea if it is even available. Likely also very expensive but interesting design without standard spider and voice coil on the outer edge. I wonder if its parameter would be useful also for ripol
