I need a 10uF cap for an adapter XLR to jack 3.5mm. It will allow electret powered capsule to dynamic translating.
I will solder it in the XLR body.

The question I'd ask is what specifications matter for this? Typically dynamic microphone preamp inputs are several k to 10k input impedance, so the cutoff freq will be a few Hz. Most of the audio band won't really see the capacitor impedance at all, but I suspect you want a component designed to last, so perhaps automotively rated. I presume we are talking axial or radial aluminium electrolytics ?
Wima if you can find something that fits is a safe and high quality bet.

Film caps are going to be too large surely? That forces electrolytic.Wima if you can find something that fits is a safe and high quality bet.

For the most part, low ESR is the supposed " magic"
So ironically far as hour rating and low esr or low impedance
usually automotive caps have very very low ESR and lifespan temp range is very good as well.
far as the " other choices" not sure if PET or PP is considered better.
Not willing to blow money on overpriced caps.
When other brands have same if not lower ESR or ripple rating
far as I remember PP is more special for high voltage or " self healing"
property's for life span
ESR might be around 22m and signal path resistors get up to 10 or 33k
or a zillion miles above a capacitor resistance.

here is schematic. The idea is to plug dynamic mikes on wireless body transmitter.
I may be wrong but I think dynamic mike have lower impedance than electret ?
I left film caps due to size but link to wima is unexpected solution 😉
