Calling Veneer Experts: Iron and Wood Glue

Well, so far, my best results have come from contact cement. Using PVA applied to the mdf while still wet caused ripples as it dried. I would assumme this was due to insufficient clamping pressure. I wouls have to build some sort of jig to use the pva while wet.

So, I think I will just stick with the contact cement.

When you buy sheets of iron-on veneer, does anyone know what type of glue they use? Is it just hot melt glue from a glue gun?
