Anyone heard the Car-Fi brand from the past? This was in the late 70's - early 80's and this was the brand that burst on the car stereo scene almost overnight. They were in every car stereo magazine and had highest ratings hands down... Then about 3 or 4 years later, the company seemed to vanish without a trace and never spoken about since!

I remember them. They were definitely a performance brand in the vein of AFS-Kricket & Proton. And you are right, they came & went quickly. They missed the boom in car audio by just a couple years, by the mid-80's it was hopping. Your amp is cool, I did not know they did components of that scale.

My brother had one of these back in the day. He had it mounted to the top if the box and wires cut just under the carpet. His theory was that us some one stole his setup the would only get the combat amp and the 2 DVC Orion's and would not find the hidden HCCA250.
Needless to say no one ever tried to steal his stuff.
