You forget to mention your references ???
I presume if someone has them they will know. You will be a lucky guy to find everything in perfect condition... Have fun.

The factory units were definitely Advent large woofers, so any intervening replacement with other drivers "that fit in the box" will not likely be even close to original performance. The XO was not a simple network, and a different woofer would also affect the mid-bass unit's performance . When I owned a pair in '73 or so, I decided to mirror image them and the XO's - the latter part was much more complicated than it sounds - what with the paraffin wax overcoat and masonite board.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

As I believe they're long since out of production, I think the Philips mid-woofer would be far harder to replace than the woofers - FWIW, service and factory replacement of parts may still be available for these speakers, and the mid woofer is the only driver not available from the official holders to the trademark ( Regnar)

Interesting build to copy with similar drivers in the market. Only that it takes to much real state. ()

I think with modern digital XO & EQ technology, one could probably achieve similar performance with far lower number of drivers. It may be contrarian or even heretical to suggest this in the multi-way forum, but there have some substantial strides in driver engineering in the past 40yrs, and for a modest system, a well chosen wide-band unit and supporting woofers can be a very simple and satisfying system.

Of course for the truly serious, something like Gary Dahl's rig would be a good start 😀

The source was a server running JRiver MC20 on Windows, connected via USB to an exaSound e20 mk ii DAC, with balanced connections to the amps. The amps are Lynn Olson's "Amity" circuit: Tribute input transformer, push-pull 5687 driver stage, O/Netics interstage, push-pull 300B's, O/Netics output transformer.

As for the speakers, each channel uses the following:

Deep Bass
Acoustic Elegance TD15H woofer and two PR15 passive radiators in 5 cf enclosure, powered by plate amp, low pass at about 60 Hz.

Midbass
GPA 416-8B Classic Series (alnico) in 3 cf sealed enclosure, -3 dB at about 60 Hz, passive 2nd order low pass at about 800 Hz.

Midhorn
Azurahorn AH-425 horn, Radian 750NeoBe driver. Passive 3rd order high pass at about 800 Hz, autoformer attenuator by Dave Slagle, equalization results in flat response to 13 kHz.

Ribbon
RAAL 210-10 Lazy Ribbon, passive 2nd order at 13 kHz.

Not his home listening room, but at a recent DIY get-together in a church basement - hence the mural.

Now that's some real-estate

Dahlquist simplified the DQ-10 into the DQ-20 three way with scanspeak mid and hf drivers. I ought to get mine refoamed and see if I'm still a fan of the New England sound. Really like my Fostex coax though.
Too many projects. My storage looks like Cal's except not organized so nicely.
And no Altec goodies either.

I may actually have a pair of the Advent speakers mounted in the rear deck of my car. I'll check and get back to you. They've been there 20 years disconnected. You can have them for the cost of shipping. I don't claim they are "mint", most likely badly sun-damaged. Voice coils should be fine, they're basically unused. The amp never turned on, and I never got around to fixing it.
