Hi
Until about 2 - 3 Years back I was able to Order Dale Resistors almost any kind I wanted.
Before that until 1992 there where Resista Resistors from Germany if I remember right. Then there was the announcement that Resista would stop to produce Resistors and the the company would be sold to Vishay..
After that Resista dissapered as well as the resistors.
10 Days ago I ordered Resistors using FARNELL Distributor. There were no DALE anymore.. ONLY Mulitcomp.! When I got them a few days back, half of them were RESISTA.. I don't get that anymore.
I would like to buy DALE RESISTORS, cmf55Series. Does anyone of you know some place to buy them?
Thanks in advance..
Chris

Hi Chris,
I am not familiar with the history of Dale/Resista resistors but if Resista was sold to Vishay then could it be that Vishay's current CMF55 series is what you are looking for? It that is the case then they can be bought e.g. from Mouser or Digikey or Arrow:
https://www.arrow.com/en/products/search?cat=&q=cmf55&r=true
Through Hole Resistors | Resistors | DigiKey
cmf55 Metal Film Resistors - Through Hole | Mouser Denmark
However, if you will allow me to make a comment on this ... resistor distortion drops appr. 6 dBs per doubling of wattage and if the resistors you need are for audio circuitries the CMF65 (or RN65) "E" types have very low distortion. It is also my experience that they are more transparent, dynamic, and open than the CMF55.
But it of course depends on your preferences and use.
Cheers,
Jesper

Hi Jesper
Thank you Very much for your help..
Arrow has only Resistors with VAUES no one uses -
And Mouser has no stock .. must be ordered, but Vishay itself is run out of Stock as well ..
Same counts for Digikey..
These companies should revise the Entries on their websites.
Fact is that ther aint any - Nevermind what DALE Series on the market anymore..
Check the pics I added..
Regards Chris

Have no issues buying them at the formerly farenell.com a.k.a newark.com now avnet (https://www.newark.com/search?st=cmf55) Also convenient mouser.com, digikey.com a bit more pricey.I would like to buy DALE RESISTORS, cmf55Series. Does anyone of you know some place to buy them?
Also note Dale RN/RL are the same resistors - military spec with dissipation rating lowered so that CMF55 = RN50

Hi Chris,
As far as I can see the CMF55 4.75k is in stock at Mouser. Now I don't know if there are specific restrictions on what you can buy in Switzerland but I normally search and buy on Mouser's/Digikey's default webpages (re-directed to the .dk subpage) and here the selection is full. FYI the page where you can see that the 4.75k is in stock both with Mouser and Digikey:
cmf55 Vishay 4.75 kOhms Metal Film Resistors - Through Hole | Mouser Denmark
Through Hole Resistors | Resistors | DigiKey
Cheers,
Jesper

Hi Jesper
sorry to respond so late was working on my Class A Amp..
I just went through the Denmark Mouser Site and searched for 50K/ Outcome Not available..and exactly the same way it is for many others. you see my problem is, that I don't like to mix resistors.. If cmf56 or whatever type is better or even more expensive.. I do not mind. as long as I can build the Amplifier with just one Brand.
Mixing Resistors has sometime a real bad influence on Sound.
Thank you for searching for me.. I can send a few screenshots ..
I use only .5watt resistors in my Amps, the ones bigger than this are mostly Wirewound becaust thoses ones tend to get hot.
Anyway I will order the one they have at least from each value a 100 pieces..
Thanks again...

Thank, I'm in your debt..

Weird eh.. newark IS farnell (avnet now) I don't get that separation either.
Also Instead of 50k you can search for 49k3, 49k9, 50k5, 51k0 values it still within 2%

Right. Here is the one with E192 listedThe 50k is not a standard value, it won't be listed.
Standard Resistor Values - RF Cafe
https://www.vishay.com/docs/28372/e-series.pdf
I was looking at the RN60 offerings at Mouser and it seemed to me that they had a number of non-standard non-E-96/192 values. And lots that weren't stocked too.
I find their interface unhelpful so ymmv.

rn60
I bought a couple of times here.
Resistencia Dale 40x (RN60C/RN60D) 1% de los valores customerized | eBay
Two weeks to receive . Mouser shipping is expensive if you don't reach the free.

@rayma I think it is listed but you can't buy because it was used often same as 22k, 100K 1k 10k 47k need more? but thanks anyway..it's appreciated..

Exactly . the same on Farnell but greyed out..

Sometimes a company will custom label nonstandard values on standard parts.
The stated tolerance will allow this to work, 49.9k 1% vs 50k 1%, for example.
