Digikey vs Mouser for hole through parts

They don’t ship right after the shipping number was released. You cannot blame it on the shipping company.
From my personal experience , digikey ships literally same day or next day while for mouser , a few days are needed.

Regardless, I'm familier with their shipping procedures, and as I mentioned, I'm not in a hurry or timeframe constraint.

Seems Mouser has given up on hole through parts. But have good luck with Digikey. I was ordering lastnite and was takin back to discover. So I will use Digikey now. I hope their shipping is faster?

From my experience, both companies have a similar selection of through hole components. Ignoring any type of supply chain issues, one of the big reasons they're getting harder to find is that product manufactures are using less and less of them. I use them at work for certain components, but in general most components are surface mount. This is driven by both availability and the fact that surface mount components are cheaper to have stuffed onto a board.

Digi-Key's shipping has traditionally been super fast. The issues of the last couple years slowed them down greatly, but they seem to be returning to their old ways. Recently I haven't seen any real difference in the shipping form Digi-Key or Mouser.
