DIY Speaker kits with cabinets included

Hello,
I am looking forward to assemble a pair of truly high-end speakers. I am more an electronic guy, due to lacking both skills and tools to build my own cabinets, neither design my own crossover/speaker combination.
I would like to assemble a kit of a pair of floorstanders that already include all the necessary parts to assemble it my own, that is: speaker cones, crossovers and cabinets.

I remember some time ago Madisound had some nice kits, but now they don't. What appeal me is the idea of having a pair of very good speakers without resorting to pay a ridiculous amount of money to an speaker seller. I don't need it to have a good wood finish, I can do it on my own. I would prefer an european distributor to avoid unnecessary taxes. Money is no object, by the way.

What can you recommend me?

Oh, forgot to say that I don't really care if it is 2-way, 2.5, 3-way, MTM or whatever. I am more leaned towards 2 or better 2.5 ways, but I am opened to any option. I would like a big tower floorstander though.

The linkwitz lx521 should fill your spec and is reputed to be a very very good speaker.

They seem to have a nice distributor of the DIY set in germany also =)

not floorstanders but these are very good. a 12" version should give you ok bass too.

I'm not sure exactly what your shipping situation is, but I cant imagine it's cheap to ship anything from the US to EU. Possible that shipping from the UK is less?

You might have to resource the enclosures to a carpenter in this case, because it includes the plans only. (Planos para construcción de recinto e instrucciones detalladas de ensamblaje.)

Madisound sells some kits with cabinets as does Parts Express. You might also put out the word on this forum that you need someone in Europe to build some cabinets for you.

I am not sure where, but I thought I read somewhere on their website that they don't carry cabinets anymore because of the logistic problems asociated. But I may be wrong, if you can point me out any...
