Effect of 5% Reduction in BR Volume.

Hello,

If you added extra internal bracing in an 85 litre BR cabinet which had been designed for a tuning frequency of 33Hz and an efficiency of about 93dB, would there be any adjustments required?

For example, would it be necessary to adjust the tuning frequency upwards (and, if so, by how much?) or stick with the original tuning frequency and suffer a modest decline in sensitivity?

Thanks for any input.

How much "fill " do you have inside? If your fill is a lot, nearly full-up (Which you shouldn't) you could reduce the amount by half to compensate. It is my understanding that BR designs should have "fill" only lining the walls....but some completely fill the internal volume. Just throwing out ideas.....

Hi,

IMO 5% is a too small change to pay attention to...
