There is some photos of my amp in the F5T build tread. I want to write more about my build but I have no time now.I have had my F5TV1 running for one day now all seems fine. I removed all current limiting including 550and 560.I have it running at .625 volt at source resistors. This is a very nice amplifier!
Zoe, can we see some photos of the completed amp?
Thanks for the tip - I went to the thread and found all the photos. Impressive power supply and case. I'm sure you'll get the hum out soon. Thanks for responding.

In post #1 of this thread, the 3rd pdf of 12 contained errors with regard to P1 and P2 settings. They should be set to minimal ohms before installation, not maximal ohms.
Similarly, in post #5 of this thread, the 12th pdf of 12 also contained errors regarding the same point.
Both of the pdfs that contained errors have been removed and new, corrected pdfs have been attached here.

You can try to ask scurry, I helped him order some new boards, and I think he bought more that he'll use.
Ok thanks i'll drop him a PM.
Which means send a to PM toxic ingestion - That's Steve.

Good to hear. I was thinking of you today and wondering if you had received them yet.
Best regards,
Steve

Thanks Steve I collected them from the post office last Thursday after having to pay HM Customs charges of $25 ;-(
I'm just making up my parts order is anyone on the forum still selling the matched Fairchild devises (FQA12P20 etc) or is everyone now using the IRFP9240/240 fets.

BOM & schematic to suit pcb version V2.1
Does anyone if a revised schematic and BOM were posted to suit version 2.1 of the F5 cascode pcb design I see P3 has been added and a few other small layout changes, just trying to save a bit of time. Ian

Very cool that you and your son worked together on this project. I'm old enough to remember the old Allied shortwave kit ad with the kid saying to his dad: "Hey dad, we're getting Tokyo!"

Not that I know of.

Ok thanks Steve in that case do you know where I will find the latest up to date diagram for these boards not sure if there was a build thread or not.

Hi,
No one has built on the Version 2.1 boards you have, to date. Christian Viller, who created the original Version 2.0 boards that were sold by the store in the past has a page here:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/blogs/cviller/191-gb-f5-guide-pcb-version-2.html
There are various threads that discuss building the F5 turbos, the main one being:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/207103-f5-turbo-builders-thread.html
And there is an F5 turbo board thread as well:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/206756-f5-turbo-circuit-boards.html
But many of those discussions concern versions with diodes in parallel with source resistors on the MOSFETs, which this board and your board don't have. But information concerning P3, etc., should be there.
If you have a specific question, I'd be glad to try to answer, and I'm sure 6L6 and others would quickly respond, as well.
If you don't have the schematic to the boards you now have with P3, please let me know. I thought I sent it to you with some notations, but may be wrong on that.

I recall building my first kit with my father around 1965, a morse code oscillator kit. Great memories. Some of the best. And I believe it was, indeed, Allied. I didn't get into Heathkits until the early 1970s.

Hi Steve thanks for that lot I'll look though it tomorrow no you didn't send me any diagram or notation if you have it that would be handy I'm just trying to save time going through loads of posts in numerous threads, so it looks like I'll be building the first set of v 2.1 boards then, cool!!
