I don't know how it will measure. I was kind of a guess from my part to solve some problems.
The baffle rounding started to early from the middle of the cabinet to the edge. To recess the woofer I didnt had much wood left. So I made some adaptation rings for the woofers. This brings the woofer more forward from the box. (actually 26mm in the middle of the box and 36mm on the sides )
From the testbox (flat squared box) I got some rising around 600Hz and a dip around 1600Hz from diffraction. In the FR measurements this bump around 600Hz is very visuable. Also the dip around 1600Hz correspont with the dip which is already naturally there from the surround
With a smaller baffle those rising and dip moves up in frequency. So Im hoping the outcome will be flatter.
The baffle for mid and tweeter is 24mm deep and 180mm wide.
With the big roundover of the final cabinet things get already flatter in simulation.
fingers crossed that things work out.
in attached file you see the diffraction of a smaller baffle on top and the wider baffle below.

Some pictures of the final boxes.
Mid section has 4l.
Woofer has around 35l.
Whith is 39 cm,,hight 105 cm.
Curving the side panels wasn't easy but they came out ok.
Made a ring for the woofer as the curving starts already closer to the middle of the box then I first thought.
I will wrap the box in fake dark red leather. Maybe one day I will veneer them who knows.
Top and bottom will be painted black same as the woofer ring.

Wrapped the boxes with fake red leather. Unfortunately cheap Chinese stuff. They send it folded and I can not get the folds out . I think one day I will add veneer.
Added a ring to attach the woofer. The curving started to much from the middle of the box so not much wood was left to mount the woofer.
Top and bottom plate are almost finished in black paint.
It starts looking like speaker.

Some more pictures.
Due to health reasons progress is slow.
But we will get there.
In the end decided to wrap the box with fake leather.
Experimenting now a bit with the stuffing. Got some bump around 100hz in the woofer impedance measurements.
Don't know where it comes from. Still need to figure out that one.

Yes 👍. Unfortunately I can not reach the top of the box anymore as the mid box is in the way.
I did some damping in the top though. Just not enough it seems.
I put extra damping material in the bottom and it solves the problem.
Just it's so full now, I don't have space for the xo components anymore.
