I have a 5v regulator with a 2 wave rectifier.
The secondaries powering it are from 12.6vac heater secondaries. (tube amp)
The heaters have been elevated with DC so now I am trying to connect the reg board.
I have been told that I should float the ground of the regulator and relays but not sure how that is done.
Do I ground the the relays to the ground on the regulator board and nothing ground to the chassis?
Do I make the ground reference the junction point of the two 100ohm resistors from the heaters where they connect to the DC?

What relays?? The heater supply can either be floating or be elevated to reduce hum. When it has a reference (chassis PE or a dc voltage taken from the anode supply with a voltage divider) it is not floating. Can you draw a schematic?
Use the term "common" rather than ground to reduce confusion.
Since the elevated filaments are run off the same secondary as the 5V regulator and relay coils,
you should only make common connections among these components,
and not make any other connections to the audio common or chassis ground.
The entire filament and relay supply/coils circuit will be elevated. That's what the "floating" means.
In this circuit section, only the junction of the two 100R resistors is connected to a defined DC voltage
with respect to the main power supply common. All other nodes of this section have a DC potential
relative to audio common that is caused by the DC voltage at the junction of the two 100R resistors.
Since the elevated filaments are run off the same secondary as the 5V regulator and relay coils,

It's difficult to make this clear in words. The entire secondary/filament/regulator/relay coil circuit must float from all other circuitry.
This includes the return (common) connections from the relay coils and regulator, required since all currents must flow in a loop.
Except that the center tap of the 100R resistors is the only node of this circuit that is defined by a DC potential
with respect to the audio common or chassis. We can't draw the schematic because we have no information on it.

At work, can't send anything but the reg board is 2 wave into an ldo reg t-220
Relays are worked by connecting what normally referred to as ground
The dc connection is at the junction of the 100ohm resistors

My boards will do this no problem.
They have a couple ceramics that would normally go to ground.
Will they still be ok to use going to the common?
