Hello all, I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata, and I want to run my amp power wire, I just can't figure out where a safe place to drill a hole through the firewall would be, anybody know??
Sometimes you don't need to as there might be blank rubber bungs in the firewall for this use. If not, I always ran my power cables the same way as all the other cables go through, usually there is a rubber bung/seal where the engine loom goes through the firewall, usually near the fuse box, and I just pushed my power cable through there 😉
Thats what I thought I was going to do untill i saw that the wire harness going into the car was in the middle of the firewall down where i couldnt reach very well unless I had a car lift, in short i don't so i need a safe place to drill..🙁 maybe i'll keep looking untill something looks ok to drill through.
PS how hard is it to remove one of the bungs because I think I can reach one fairly easily...
