i bought 8 of these The Madisound Speaker Store
I wanted to use 4 in each speaker at my garage.
then i bought 4 of these The Madisound Speaker Store to use as a center speaker.
I also have plans to make 2 speakers with 16 or 20 193's in each speaker.
BUT... i have no idea about how to calculate wich size and what kind of speaker it should be so i was hoping you could help me ?

These have been used with some success in the Cornu (http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/225622-ever-think-building-cornu-spiral-horn-now-you-can.html)wall mount back loaded horn speaker made out of foam core. It is an easy build and big sounding speaker for the size and effort. If you have access to $1 store 20 in x 30 in sheets of paper faced foam core construction boards, this is a very inexpensive project - circa $6 for 6 sheets of foam core should be enough. Check out the Cornu thread. If I recall, the optimal size is probably 20 in x 3 in deep. Cal may have tried this out and will have better actual use comments for you.
Alternatively, if you buy 50 of these, they have a high Qts and are perfect for an open baffle line array.
Edit: I just ran a simulation of these drivers in 20 in x 2.5 in deep Cornu mounted at 45 in above the floor. Use moderate stuffing in driver chamber and 40% of the segment leading from the driver chamber to the split in the paths.
The frequency response is actually pretty good for such a cheap driver - you are reaching 70 Hz with up to +10 dB gain the bass department (depending on how much stuffing is used). It should sound pretty good. You may have a hard time finding an amp that can drive enough power into a 16 ohm load. I never thought of this but it would be interesting to use this speaker in open space as an "open baffle bipole" with two driver back to back (one on front and one on back wired in parallel for 8 ohms). You won't have baffle step losses.
SPL vs Freq
Impedance
Cone Excursion

how do i control the length of the port in those cornu speakers ?
Not really sure im gonna build that, its not so good looking and its only 1 speaker in each box ?

It is a horn, spirally folded so the length is based on the overall dimensions. You take the pdf plan and scale it. Don't let the ragged freq response of the sim dissuade you - it is a special speaker that has to be heard to be believed. I'm not saying it doesn't color the music but for $1 drivers you can't be hoping to get HiFi quality. Trust me, this is one of the nicest sounding speakers you can build for $8 a pair. Look at all the happy builds on the Cornu and Foam Core thread.
Anyhow, this is a suggestion. You are free to build what you want with DIY. 🙂

and freedom is what makes DIY so damn hard 😉
i wish there were some designs with measures on i could just follow and get good sound, especially with the 193 wich i have high expectations from
Yes, the sims are for the NS3-194-16. The NS3-193 is a completely different animal and much more versatile. You can use those in MLTL's like the TABAQ.
okay after simming a bit with that 194 it looks like the cornu is not that bad after all 😉
but can you point me to where i find some dimension and a picture i can put in the buttom of the box so i know where to fit the foam core ?

okay i now found some drawing i could use for the foam
How do i know how deep it should be then ?

The general rule of thumb for sizing the depth is to make it so that the area of the throats is equivalent to the driver Sd. However, the depth of 2.5 inches in this case, was also arrived at by simulation as shown above. Make it too deep and you get excessive mid range leaking through. Too shallow and you get suppressed bass extension. It can be 3 in deep if you want but then you will need extra stuffing to take the mids.

okay i just open my eyes now

If I recall correctly, the long channel is about 1.2 m and short one is about 0.8 m or 2 m for 1 set of channels. Each speaker has two channels so approx 4 m will be needed. Converting to inches I get 158 linear inches per speaker. For two speakers we need qnty 11.5 x 30 in long strips. A 20 in wide sheet will give you qnty 8 x 2.5 in wide strips. So you will need 2 sheets for the channels and 4 sheets for the front and back or 6 sheets total. Use a long straight edge and a sharp razor to cut the strips. It takes 3 light pressure strokes with a razor to cut thru - don't try to do with one cut as it won't be clean or even. Important to be fairly accurate with channel width consistency (2mm tolerance) to ensure good seal with glue. Read the thread to get construction tips.
I just wanted to add to this thread by saying thanks to xrk for the simulation, and the resulting figures! I have a number of the NS3-194s, and really wanted to do something cool with them - and here's the answer! 🙂
Jala,
Did you ever build the Cornu with the Aurasounds.
UnaHm,
I hope you give it a try. I think finding another design that will give this driver this much bass gain will be tough.
