Hypex NCore NC500 build

50 pcbs (non populated) cost Nothing and there are few things on it ! So + 1/3 is a lot...

I find the cheapest buffer version non reflet the good price you keeped low with your first version ! 1/3 more expensive has no sense with 4562 oap (I don't talk about the discrete one ! margin from your side is normal !)!

I believe it's well done for the < 1000 first model, but less for the others IMHO !

Was the NC500 not thicker than the NC400 (at ears) ?

Nice input buffer for nc500. It has the oem connector.

Wel done too for the Obligato (and it's cheap) . You sold a populated pcb, a cheap non populated one, or nothing ?

Maybe also a luck for the ones whom can only afford the first version of Boggit ( a good idea btw!).

Do you like more the NC500 instead the NC400 ? Or same sound but just ability to drive the more complicated loads !

You mean you tried the 2604 already for its smoother signature ? LM4562 is neutral if I remember.

I like the idea of the tube : less stages than an oap... I talked also about this one above : OPA1602 | Precision Amplifier | Operational Amplifier (Op Amp) | Description & parametrics !

I have build/tried a lot of input buffers for hypex UCD oem. Lm4562 is just right for me. The difference between opamps is very small. Therefore i build the opamp input buffer with a dip8 socket so customers can try out several opamps(AD827, LM4563, NE5532, TL072).Difference between tubes and opamps is bigger.
Personal i use unbufferd Hypex module. My sources all have 9Vrms output voltage . In between i have passive volume control/ input select. I have good experience with less parts is more sound.

I've heard it's pretty good though its more expensive than the NC500 by around 200 euros for a pair. I've built UcD 180 400 and they are also extremely good though there does not seem to be any call for them. I can do a UcD180 for £499 and sounds amazing I've not had one enquiry! They would easily outperform a Arcam FMJ19 Rega Brio R! Mad.

It makes sense ! Thank you for this answer.

So any significant différences at ears on a same load between the NC400 & NC500 ? All the Nc has the same sonic signature ?

What is the factor to choose one of the two ?

My complicated load would be a Kef 104/2 : simple on the paper bu the speaker is in reality a vacum cleaner of current due to its complicate filter and number of drivers. Some says it needs more than a Quad 909 and gave it a Bryston 5B (the 4 being not enough for the plain capacity of the speaker).

look for north & Ncore in Google ! Unluckilly as Ncore seems too much damped (sound) to be true, he sells now a buffer pcb with tulipe dip connector for the input stage at the incredible price of 1/3 more than the first finished amp without it : expensive : don't glue to the low price he keeped low, but not anymore !
.
I believe this was your first post here. And we don't glue anything! And its Nord not north, Norwegian for North.
