Congrats, this looks very fine! An excellent combination of oiled oak (I think) cheeks and the aluminium chassis plate.
Btw, there was nothing you could've also covered the power tranny with?

I guess so...would have saved me some grief...had to to some surgery to fit them this way. However...I like the contrast. And I did not have space unless it was a metal box.

And yes. Boiled linseed oil on oak.

Hacking the transformer. Because the plastic bobbin and connections with this low profile version..extends all the way to the edge.

I know the construction has its limits (due to the hollow construction and little weight) but I find it a neat way to "quickly" make a double h-frame for 2x12".
Once called Expedit, it is now called Kallax (shelf).

More IKEA bamboo, this time a bathroom storage box repurposed into a new chassis for a Russian Electronica alarm clock. I just loved the large VFD display on them. Not strictly an "audio" device, but figured you lot would appriciate it..

Not a good idea to have a double decker by the way. If something is up...I have to unsolder all the wires. CCS is bottom Transformer upstairs...etc etc.
