Industrial Darlington transistors, any good ? pros and cons ?

You jumped from Darlington to Indian sales, then world sales.
You seem confused.

FYI, Denon and Marantz are now owned by the same company, last I checked. Saul Marantz passed away, and his company was sold to others...ended up as a fancy name. Production on contract, possibly in China.

Their Indian sales are a fraction of the sales of names like Sony, LG and so on.
Yamaha and Onkyo also hardly sell in India.
300 units in a market of 100,000 is not called popular, it is petty change. Insignificant is more accurate.

You can find the world sales data on line.

The world sales was mentioned because I wanted to know how much stereo integrated sells and how much money would companies be saving by using cheap darlington transistors in few models. So I am not confused you intrepreted it and brought in TDA2030 out of nowhere.

I am particular about things I post. This is second time you are saying I am confused (earlier it was in LM1875 thread I think) and looks like it is your most preferred word.

Thanks any way. Have a nice day.

See how many amps were sold with those transistors, and who sold them, and what was the price the customer paid.
The conclusion will be a few models in small numbers sold by companies which are almost gone from the field.
Also, as others have pointed out, not the best choice for audio performance.

You started a thread on a different note, discussing the use of those transistors.

Anyway, audio amplifiers are going out of fashion, and most new devices use chip amps and / or Class D design, so the question of using those transistors for new is not very relevant.

For PA and other use, Mosfet and bipolar is preferred, again in terms of numbers, very small in comparison to say sound bars.

5200 / 1943 pair is 125 here, cheap enough for me not to think of cheaper high gain transistors.
