LM353 substitutes?

Are there any better sounding 8 pin opamps in a dip package that are a direct replacement for the LM353? Thanks

Or you can also try the LME49860, LME49720 or TLE2072.
The TL072 is basically the same thing.

Well either of those two choices should be OK. One proviso. If there are several then you need to be sure the current capability of the PSU supplying them is OK. Opmps don't draw much but for example 10 devices running at say 5 milliamps and 10 devices running at 16 milliamps is quite a difference.

The OPA2604 sounds worlds better than the LF353 in the Marchand crossovers.

I just swapped out the existing op amps for OPA2134 units. I noticed a nice improvement in resolution. I am now wonder if the OPA2604 would be noticeably better.

No, they are more similar than different.

The OPA2604 can sound the most "analogue" if that makes sense. Differences are subtle but they are there.
