Are there any better sounding 8 pin opamps in a dip package that are a direct replacement for the LM353? Thanks
You could try an OPA2604 or OPA2134. What is its function ?

Well either of those two choices should be OK. One proviso. If there are several then you need to be sure the current capability of the PSU supplying them is OK. Opmps don't draw much but for example 10 devices running at say 5 milliamps and 10 devices running at 16 milliamps is quite a difference.
I just swapped out the existing op amps for OPA2134 units. I noticed a nice improvement in resolution. I am now wonder if the OPA2604 would be noticeably better.
