Hi there, my marantz cd10 display problem , I insert cd disc total tracks can be displayed, can also be played ,only the cd dics total time cannot be displayed.As long as I turn off player and turn on player again ,after that can show the cd dics total time .what's happening to this problem . Hope someone can help. Thanks
It might be something to do with RY21 thru RY28, and associated signals on JY01. Check the voltages on QY01 (uPD7537A) - pins 30 thru 41 and confirm they are okay. Cycle the power and see if there's a change in value(s). You could use the freeze spray as well.

Yes. Also, the top area on the PCB, where they are located/soldered, looks good (based on what I could see from that photo).
However, that does not mean there are no hot spots... on the PCB underside.
If what I wrote in my previous (first) post means very little to you, take the player to service and have it checked/repaired by an electronics engineer/technician. The player seems to be in excellent condition.

I've checked and there are no problems, Every time as long as the display fails.just need to do the clearing FTS ,(presse fts button, while the fts indicator is blinking ,press pause button and open/close buttons, FtS ALL is displayed),after that press open/close button,cd tray out and in,the display back to normal. (able to display cd total time),Where is the problem?Sorry to trouble you all the time,thank you.

I took the time to go into the schematic and went in depth to give me an idea of what could be going on and I can tell you that without equipment and a solid knowledge of digital electronics, you will have a hard time figuring out where is the problem .
the cause, however, must be minor and probably a very small capacitor on a "logic".
I invite you, from the service manual, to check the power supply from "QF1" to "QF13" and everything that revolves around it.
