Hello,
can somebody help me in repairing / diassembly of this music center?

I need to know how to remove the tone arm.

Then what, exactly, is your problem?

The chances that someone in this forum has worked on an MC-8000 may be low, so best if you describe your hands-on experience.

I must be able to remove the tone arm from the outside in order to remove the complete inner turntable chassis.
This can not be done as long as the tone arm is fixed to the tone arm base.

According to the service manual, the tonearm is removed after the turntable unit is removed from the cabinet.

Not being there, I'm afraid I can't be of further assistance. I hope someone who has worked on the unit will chime in.

The only member I can find who has made a thread on the Mitsubishi MC-8000 is @jiot so you might try contacting him or reviving his thread.
