In that case, it is justified to stick to 25mm dome TW only, there is a huge choice. I doubt that any 19mm TW is suitable for cutting at lower frequencies. There's plenty of room to enlarge the tweeter opening and install a larger unit.

These are proven good for a low cut. Admittedly, 29mm is a voice coil, but I like large domes, somehow they sound better to me than these smaller ones. I've been using the Dynaudio D28AF for a long time. And the efficiency is quite high as well.

Unfortunately its not up to me to decide on using a larger dome. The guy who owns the monitors wants to stick with a 19mm dome. He claims the top end extension is better. I can't argue him on that one, but he'll have to deal with burning up tweeters when they can't handle the expected output levels crossed just about 2.5k 3rd order.
I suggested the Seas 22TAF, which I personally like alot. Its not the lowest distortion dome in the lower mids, but the top end is very clean and extended. I would have recommended the Audax TW025A28 / A20 being my current favorite metal dome. It would even fit in the existing cutout too. It stays clean at just about any reasonable playback level crossed above 2.5k 3rd order and 2.8k 2nd order.
There aren't many soft domes which can play as clean and resolving as a good metal dome. Most larger soft domes operate in soft breakup mode above 10k. Decent metal domes remain pistonic higher up, but have the sharp breakup around 25k. This needs to be dealt with if you want the best distortion performance possible, as the effects of the breakup modulate down into the midrange.

I ordered a pair of SB29RDNC and will use an adapter made from routed ABS to mount it.
I haven't been able to go over to his studio yet to install them, but the off axis curves look really good for a larger ring / dome driver.
They certainly are sensitive enough and will need alot of padding, which will reduce the stress and help with power handling, so he won't blow them up that easily. Not the cheapest compact dome out there, but gets good reviews. I took a quick listen with a test box cut out for the SB26STCN (same size flange) and was impressed. Very natural sounding tweeter.

So you convinced him after all. Good move. 😎Unfortunately its not up to me to decide on using a larger dome. The guy who owns the monitors wants to stick with a 19mm dome.
He trusts my ear. I had to tag along when he almost bought a used pair of ATCs and would have gotten raked over the coals. The seller tried to hide a modification done to the crossovers. I immediately heard the problem and got stuck in the middle of a huge argument, but he finally admitted they weren't original. He ended up buying my PMCs instead and was very happy with them.
For those who haven't tried the SB29RDNC, I highly recommend you consider it. Its become my new favorite compact soft dome. Its built like a brick, very high sensitivity, low distortion and all in a small package.
You could use this tweeter in 3 way pro applications crossed higher up or in high power mid field monitor setups. It would be interesting to see how it does in a WG.
The dynamic range capability is already impressive as is. The build quality rivals that of ScanSpeak and Seas. Only drawback is you can't replace the dome if it goes bad. At $70 for a new one, its not that big of a deal.
The closest rival to it is the SS D3004/6022, which costs over $150. I'd rate the build quality as the same between the two, but the SB sounds better IMO.

@HiFiCompass Thats a nice tweeter. I prefer the Audax TW025A28 over it for a few reasons and its easier to get here in the US.
