Does anybody know the values for r327 and d326 in a mtx thunder 8100d. they burned so bad the values are not visible any more. Any help greatly appreciated
MTX 8100D REPAIR QUESTION
Hello Members: I have an mx8100d that is blowing ssp45n20a fet. I have replaced all the parts associated with the circuit but it is still blowing the fet. I wonder what I'm missing. I replaced fet with ssp45n20b wich I assume is the same part. Any help greatly appreciated.

This is a different amplifier. Looks like the 80v rail is connected to drain of the fet. But I don't know what the output or source is connected to. I don't have a schematic. I was hoping someone had experienced same problem. I replaced zener diode,100 ohm resistor and fet but still blows the fet.
The drain is connected to the + rail. One end of the 100 ohm resistor connects to the negative rail. The other end to the source of the FET. When the amp is switched on, nothing flows through the FET. When it's switched off, the FET passes current through the FET. The current is limited due to the 12v zener limiting the voltage across the 100 ohm resistor to about 9v.
Is the source of the fet connected to an optocoupler like in the 81000D as well?.
Thanks for you help
Thanks for you help
81000d has a 1k resistor, a 20 v zener and diferent components. view schematic you posted for another member that ask you about 81000d.
I think there must be different revisions. The photo I posted above was from an 81000D. I took a photo of the badge when I photographed the board.
You'd have to post a link from anything I posted for me to find it. I've got several thousand posts on this forum.

That's a 20v voltage regulator for one of the opto-couplers.
The photo I posted above is the trail cap drain circuit.
Which circuit are you working with?

Photo note:
The photo of the FET, Zener, resistors was not taken at the same time as the badge photo.
The NPA116 is the 81000
The NPA097 is the 1000
The NPA167 is the 1501
What is the NPA number on your board?
