For a simple, cheap single supply stereo chip amp, its hard to beat TDA8566. Very quick to lash up on a suitable piece of perfboard. https://www.nxp.com/part/TDA8566Q#/

If i was to go direct coupled would something like this work for protecting the speakers ?
Obviously i would do extensive testing to ensure proper operation of this board.
it is cheap enough that i might just buy one to test.

The original manufacturer stopped their production(NEC probably) but if it is from any reliable 2nd source then quite good for spkr protection. Although capacitor coupled amps are more reliable in this case & they sounds pretty decent too.
Anyway if you use 1875 a spkr delay circuitry is mandatory due to their turn on off thump no matter what is the power supply configuration.

Ok, so i am about to oreder some components from mouser but i am a bit confused.
There are 8 listings on mouser and all are to220, and have same datasheet.
So what is the difference and which one do i order ?
I am assuming that they are different pin angles, But why 8 listings ? I cant see why there would be 8 different versions and some of them are on backorder.
There is lm1875/LB05 ,LF02,LF05 and so on.

Buy a ready board or two, hook it up, test it, then replace the chip with real 1875.
Those things cost less than $2 here, with Chinese 1875 / 2030, the pin outs are identical.
And if you wish, the capacitors can be changed.
It comes with heat sink, in and out connectors, circuit boards, all the components soldered in.
Less effort than making one yourself, the PCB itself may cost more than that delivered to your door. Sourcing parts also takes time and money.
YMMV, they come from China and elsewhere.
A good basic effort.
Supply and so on has still to be made, so it is has a lot of work to get the resulting amplifier made by you.

Throw away ! All the electronic pieces and Buy 1st world ones, Important that !
ONLY use the PCB which is actually pretty good. They cloned a decent design.
Don't need speaker protection nonsense imo... Real Life here.
Buy a decent Torroid and build a Dual rail PS Not that much effort Or $$.
Sounds will be quite good on the Mark Audios.
Not Party loud as they are Low Db things.
Certainly good for medium room size uses.

Thanks for the suggestion, but i don't think you got my question right.
I am trying to order authentic lm1875 chip from mouser and there are 8 different options that are all by texas instruments and have the same datasheet.
It looks to me that they are available with different pin angles, But which one do i buy?

The one that fits your board / heat sink combination...
Some do say To-220 audio amp.
Go from there.

Yes, but how do i know which one is which. The one that fits your board / heat sink combination
They are just marked with some numbers. For example LM1875/LB05
You seem new, and are a little confused by the choices.
Which is why I said buy a ready board.
The leg orientation is decided by the PCB.
Alternately, buy a bare PCB, buy the chips that will fit.
In fact, those sellers might indicate what chip is suitable.

All the above audio amps are suitable, I probably violated a copyright, I hope they do not come after me...
All the above audio amps are suitable, leg orientation choice is to be done after ordering PCB.
I find staggered pins easier to work on, it is your decision.
