It would appear you have obtained the originals, like the ones now sold from reputable stores on ali express. You don't see any text saying lii-song and you see the the trumpet flower logo.
I know it's confusing but from everything I've learned if you wanted more like the ones you have, you would need to purchase from a dealer on ali express. The ones you have are not sold by lii-song anymore. Their F-15's are copies of the ones you have.
Now this is confusing indeed - as those F-15 mentioned above were sold by lii-audio.com, it seems that (at least until 2020) both companies were somehow connected and it seems that on aliexpress both "versions" are available. To be quite honest - without independent measurements there is no way to shed more light on this confusing situation.
I’m curious; has anyone tried to contact either one of the “Lii” companies and ask if the USA and Canada version is the same company - but selling different product for North America? Or - if the lii-audio.com seller can supply the Lii speakers seen on ali express? Maybe I’ll contact the Lii-audio.com seller and ask about Lii 15” coaxials..

I really want to call this guy out for the con but i also want to respect that s lot of people are happy with li-song copies of li-audio.
There is the horn logo on the front paper cone, this might be a real one. So means you got the last units before he switched to copying them himself, lower the quality, stopping order from lii audio and increasing his margin...
I think now i now how he started. He opens the website, with real products, everything was smooth, then after some success he decided to play his own game and screw lii audio founder...(I repeat that lii audio own it's own factory, lii song does not, he is a salesman only).
Next time i go to china i will try to visit the factory and take pictures, i should be able to sign a NDA with lii audio.
And if you ask why the casted frames looks the same, well copying casting is the most easy part...and if you go to small factories in china you will easily find one that don't care about IP.
If the guy is really sneaky, he would order from china lii audio to sell on liisong...but this does not make sense commercially so i don't think so...
The most obvious stuff is they write Lii Audio / Lii Song...I even don't know why he bother to write lii song...he could just copy without changing anything...i guess he does it in case someone want to take action...
I guess it’s off topic so I’ll be brief, cabinets are surprisingly heavy and feel solid, and the wood veneer looks great in my opinion . They have been bright in the few rooms I have had them in without any eq. They can handle power and make some bass and lower octave synth sound really nice. It seems to me like they trade off some tone or timbre accuracy to do all the things they do reasonably well at their price. Not sure what else I would purchase at this price if I wanted to watch movies or play loud in a larger room. If I was going to listen to music in smaller rooms I would probably try something else. Hope that helps, I couldn’t figure how to dm you the response, I’m new to posting here.

To my knowledge, lii-audio has no store on ali-express but there are authorized resellers there. The real lii-audio has no website. I tried to get on taobao but it won't display properly. Keeps crashing to a blank screen. Supposedly there is a updated f-15 with much better bass extension up there. I took a screen shot before the page crashed again.
And that's what's crazy about this. Supposedly because lii-song is selling fakes they can't sell on aliexpress. There are a few lii-song products there but not anywhere near the product offerings of lii-audio.
So it's like lii-song's perceived creditability is based on the fact they bought the domain name for lii-audio and have thereby fraudulently stolen the identity under the guise that they changed their name to lii-song but kept the lii-audio.com domain.
Yes. Lii Song sell on second hand shop in China but not on the taobao and other chinese e commerce because he can not register it...And real lii audio has quite a big fan base in china (in the niche hifi). It's more difficult to foul a chinese with chinese brands...i believe you can sell a fake american brand of middle size in china and pretend to be the real one before the company open a retail in china !

My interest in this thread was triggered by the fact that I had recently purchased a pair of F6 Lii song speakers on Amazon for less than $100 for the pair delivered. I wasn’t expecting much, but they have a really caught my fancy. The quality of the sound they produce I find competitive with my Kef LS 50s and that’s saying a lot. I was so impressed that I placed an order on the Lii song website for a pair of the fifteens. They came from a place apparently in Pennsylvania and only took about a week or so to get here. I haven’t had a chance to break them in or listen extensively but I am building a soundboard for this speaker.
Here’s the thing. Am I the only one to notice that The purportedly, authentic speaker manufacturer is behaving curiously like a pirate, and the supposedly inauthentic or pirate behaves as a legitimate company? We are told that it started with losing rights to the web name but why can’t the original company get a website up under a different name? It is done all the time. How about “Lii speakers”, or the “original Lii speakers” or even “acme speakers-formerly known as Lii“? Also, the “authentic“ company does not seem to have a distribution channel. Without an international distribution channel, I assume their production and sales are on the lower side. On the other hand, the supposedly“Illegitimate“ company seems to have a considerable investment in both distribution, marketing and manufacturing somehow or the other. It seems likely that they may be doing more volume than the original company.
So, it feels like there are important pieces of information missing in the story. Is it possible that the original manufacture sold the international rights? Is it possible they just want to be a small maker and in fact don’t really care so much about the business? Is it possible they are a competent speaker maker but an incompetent business? I don’t know, but things don’t add up. baffling!

This is slightly OT - but how does one purchase from Taobao living in Europe? Are there any trustworthy agents?
Taobao is only for china. And yes you can have a company only selling in china and having a good business, because the population is really huge...I know it because i lived there, but basically outside apps don't work in china and chinese apps don't work outside china most of the time, so you can understand why it is pretty waterproof to exchange...it's like amazon.com banned from France for me.
Anyway sending from aliexpress (the taobao for foreigners) the delivery fee is very high. With current high shipping cost, it got out of hands (covid, gaz prices etc etc).

Finished rereading this entire thread again and your point isn't without merit. At day's end though if outside of mainland China genuine Lii drivers can't be purchased (no vendors or distributors) or even seen (no public web presence) then for the rest of the world, beyond an interesting intellectual property case, the entire subject is moot. Better utility focusing on Lii Song product.
