OCD - Orange Cap Disease - which Manufacturer was that and which Audio Devices except Tapedecks were affected ?

A bit strange: the construction type for these cap is normally plain-foil, which is very robust compared to metallized ones that can suffer from aluminum plague when there is water ingress.
Orange drops by a well-known US manufacturer are of the metallized type, by to my knowledge, they don't suffer from this plague which affected mostly UK manufacturers in the sixties and seventies (Hunts, etc.)
Could be a poor contact between the foil and the wire?

Although I replaced many defective parts I have never encountered this issue....maybe because it only occurs in Nakamichi devices?! Maybe these caps were exclusively produced for Nakamichi? It would be nice to know brand and series.

Ah well I guess such issues also come with age (of consumer grade electronics). Thankfully we have new sources to focus on.
