Hi,
I was wondering does anybody know some details about Opera Duetto speakers?
I`d like to know what seas model was used as a tweeter. I will be really greatfull if anyone know some infos about used parts in crossover etc..
Thanks in advance.
PS. Sorry for my bad english.

My friend and I took a look inside his a few years ago. I'm pretty sure the crossover was a fairly basic 2nd-order design.
Very nice sounding speakers. The woofer was some polish make beginning with T.

Yes, the midwoofer is made in Poland. Tonsil 13/40/2. I got this loudspeakers, so decided to make a clone 🙂
I have a microphone, but i didn`t do any measurments yet 🙁
Only thing I know that`s the seas is 19mm. Do you remember what impedance has got seas?

Ok, i think it could be a 19 TFF seas. But there`s 19 TFF and 19 TFF-1 models. Any difference? I think the division could be at 2,5-3 kHz.
here`s the 19 TFF

and here`s the original

I know this topic. But these are totem mite and the dome is some kind of 10/80 gdwk made by tonsil. In original opera duetto is 19 mm seas for sure.
If i don't find nothing more about them i'll make a mite clone 🙂

Hi,
IMO the bass/mid defines a speaker and tweeter choice only really
a subtlety when choosing between similar tweeter types. Go for
the option with the most information I'd say is the best idea.
The Opera Duetto tweeter doesn't look like any Seas 19mm I know.
These do look like Seas or Vifa 19mm domes :

It seems like there might have been more then one version of the Duetto, many of the pictures a google search returns have tweeters with three screws on the faceplate, not four and look very SEAS 19TFF like.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I read there was one version before 2001 and another later. In article from "AUDIO" 1/2000 is a 3 screw seas.

Did you listen Totem Mite or Totem Staff? I think they are really budget constructions.
