Hi I dont know where to put this topic so I put it here, hope Molly wont mind to move it to right place. 🙂

I need advice about what should I use for my headphone delayed circuit. For now I have success with standard relays. I use ne555 to turn relay on and everything is working as it should. Now I want to try to replace that relay with ssr or optocoupler. Im not familiar with optocouplers but I know they are fast, silent, small, cheap, more durable than standard relays. Downside of optocouplers is that they cant switch high load, which is not problem as Im swithing audio out from headphone amp to headphones. Is it ok to use opto.. for my needs? Thanks.
