Peavey Classic Chorus 130

Hi folks. New member to the forums. Does anyone have any advice on finding schematics? I'm finding it impossible to find a schematic for a Peavey Classic Chorus 130. The actual symptoms are no sound from left speaker. Speaker itself works fine. So far on initial look over I've found a leaking cap, but would like to understand the circuit a little bit better.

Call Peavey. They are one of the few g-amp makers who still supply service information on request.

> no sound from left

This is a 2-amplifier (stereo) unit. Compare Left to Right. Something is different.

Also find several Roland Jazz Chorus schematics. Peavey surely "studied" the Rolands, and probably drew much "inspiration" from Roland's thinking. (We can't say "copycat" because almost nothing in audio is truly original...)

Thanks for the reply. Studying the board a bit more, it's obvious that some work had been done to this previously. I found a couple of resistors that had a leg snipped then resoldered. I also found a JFET (2N5463) that had the source leg snipped and removed. I patched it for troubleshooting, and now have sounds through both speakers, but a very bad hum and slapping noise. I'm wondering if the transistor itself is just bad and they clipped it to use as is. I'm trying to figure out an alternative now as they are no longer available. That'll be the next step I guess. Then further troubleshooting if required.
I'll check out the schematic you suggested. Thanks again!

Awesome info Enzo. I'll email them today. Your suggestion about a cross reference guide got me thinking. I actually started to type into the browser search bar to see if anything came up. It actually auto completed the search string. Lo and behold there are quite a few out there. Checking it now. Thanks!
