And do you have children Upupa Epops? To Angel : The same question : Have you children ?
Yes, I have 😎 and from my personal experience I know very well how " kick " high voltage 🙁 . And also I know very well, how tempt little children to put pins into holes... But these things don't tell nothing to guys, which can to see on chassis phalic symbols without " cover " condom 😀 .
Do you let your children watch television? Watching television (especially sponge bob etc) can maim your children for life!😉
And is in my opinion a thousand times more dangerous than my valve amp...which the children are free to touch...luckily TV has not fried their brains enough ....that they are stupid enough to touch the valves!!!

Hi,
Which is how you ended up having kids, I suppose.....
Cheers, 😉

Howdy all! My fourth project.... EF86 triode connected-> 12AU7-> KT88 triode connected PP. No negative feedback. Hammond output and power tranny's. Great forum you have going here...think I'm going to be a regular. Some damn fine looking amps here!

Nice -- is the chassis copper?
A friend just built some parafeed EL84 monoblocks with triode strapped EF86 -- quite a relevation.

I'll try to get one up in a couple of days. Looks like I kinda hit the wrong spot with my post. Tryed to get it in the Picture thread...if someone can move it??
Here's a bottom shot finally! Yes chassie is 12 gauge copper. A sheet
large enough to make two amps cost me $90CND. The guy at the sheet metal shop does the cutting and bending for free. "Anything but another duct!" Kinda messy under the hood, but a lot of tinkering went on. You see 2X4H chokes under there. Overkill, but I had em so......

It is easy to stop copper from oxidising if you spray it with a clear Laquer.

That amp was built 4 years ago....sprayed it with clear laquer...havn't had to do more than dust it! (Occationally) Copper is really easy to work with. UMMMM...let's see....Hummmm...I thought it would look pretty cool at the time too.

Hi Mel, do you use the copper chassis as part of the circuit? If so, how are electrical connections to it made?
Hi,
I'm a new member of this forum....
first: sorry for my bad english!
Last week I completed the assembly of my Dynaco ST-70 clone 🙂

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

first: Sorry for my nonexistent Italian. 😀
That's a nice star ground implementation. What's the topology of the input/driver stage? I can see that you have retained the feedback loop.
