In an integrated amp, where should the pot be placed?
Should it be Line level source -> POT -> Pre-amp circuit -> power Amp or Line level source -> Pre-amp circuit ->POT-> power Amp

For lowest noise floor place it at the input of the power amplifier.

Make sure there is no overload of the preamp input circuitry, if the volume control is after the preamp.
