I have a QUAD CD 66 with a very dim display.
The 2 bulbs seem to be fairly bright.
The display is all correct but is hardly readable.
The circuit uses an obsolete LC7582
Anyone have any idea where I should look?
Andy

Datasheet for LC7582 says pin 58 is VLCD, the LCD bias voltage that sets display contrast. Minimum voltage is given as 3v and maximum is Vdd. Somewhere in that range contrast should have an optimum. Otherwise could be the backlight needs replacement, as they do dim after many operating hours.
