Getting a build pulled together with Rythmik's 12". I have been ok'd by management for one sub, will have to see if I can negotiate a second when this is done. Rythmik doesn't offer their 15s for diy anymore, but the 12 is the better fit in my space, especially if I get a second.
My cabinet will be 14" wide 23.5" tall and 17.25" deep. More subs should be narrow and tall instead of squat and deep. With the rounded front corners I will be able to finish with a 2x4' piece of veneer. Will have it match my Bolivian rosewood mains.
Extensive bracing, may not be optimal, but should be more than enough. Going to sit on some SVS sound path feet, tested those on my mains and had great improvement in the tactile bass. Nothing you could measure, but what I could feel in my very live wooden floors was much less buzzy and more punchy.
Front baffle is 3 layers of 3/4" mdf with a generous bevel to the woofer. Exploring ideas still on how I want to put a grill on, sub is right on a walkway and want to protect the surround.
More clamps...

I did this build a couple of years ago with an existing sub cabinet that I had for a passive sub. Your build looks fine by me and in fact, I would prefer to make a cabinet rather than deal with an existing cabinet. The one thing that I did that made good sense to me was use silicone adhesive between the magnet and back of the enclosure. In my case there was just enough room to do this.
I like the RYTHMIK subs very much. I use three DIY 15s but had to make my fourth an assembled one.
Their cabinet is very good. I am perplexed by the 12" remaining available for DIY and the 15s not.
I am intrigued by your comment about management approving your woofer and yet it looks like you live in a free-standing house.
Do you have the most intrusive neighborhood association ever assembled or is the house not free-standing? Forgive my curiosity.
Your cabinet looks well done to me.

I would imagine the 15" may hit some dimensional weight number that makes it annoying to ship around as an unfinished good. That or just didn't sell in comparison to the built.
Management is the wife, she has let un-veneered 100L speakers live in our house for years now (I will finish soon, just did a smaller set to gift as practice) so she gets to call some shots. She does enjoy the music goes with me to crate dig for records and has bought her own albums when we visit her home country, but there is still a limit to the tolerance for large boxes out in the room (and to be fair you can only fit so much in a 13x18ft room).I am intrigued by your comment about management approving your woofer and yet it looks like you live in a free-standing house.
