Schematic For P.a With Op Amp Input

Hi,
for 150w into 8 ohms you will need Vrail about 60v to 63v.
This will require an output pair that can take 126v while drawing worst currents.
MJ15003/4 prefer a slightly lower voltage. They will cope easily with a Vrail of 50v and optimised for highest power will just about manage 120w into 8r.
If you really must have >60v rails the I recommend a higher voltage output pair.

the mj15003/04's Uce is 140V. so the max rail voltage is +/-70V.
with +/-70V rail an amp produces 190W-sinus to 8ohm.

looking to the soa of the transis:
at 70V Uce it can handle 2.3A
at 190W on 8ohm the current is 2.44A.
so you need to use 2 pairs. (because of the much heat, too!)

for 150W-8ohm +/-63V rail is enough. if your heatsink is really-really big, you can use one pair. but don't do it!

Amp

That amplifier is DONE.
It is in a box already.Friend of mine was just asking me about some good, reliable and simple amplifier design using OP AMP on input stage ( he loves OP AMPS).He wants me to build it for him.

I will post pictures of that first amp soon.
Thanks for your interest an first amp.😀

AMP WILL WORK ON 4 OHMS !

Thanks.

Please something simple.
I had schematic of PA with TL071, TIP31/32 drivers, 2N3773 x 2 but I lost it.

Thanks...:bawling:

hi

maybe that amp was something like this:
edl.atw.hu/ta_3600c.jpg
this amp was sold as a kitset from China, as I heard.
It's not a simple amp, anyway.

AMP WILL WORK ON 4 OHMS !

for 150W sinus on 4 ohm you will need +/-50V rails.

EXAMPLe?

EDL,

I can not see schematic. Can you attached JPEG or link to JPEG.

Thanks

Here is something I found but looks crappy.Any possible update for this to make a good.

Thanks:cannotbe:

maybe its just hard to get excited about a PA amp built with obsolete devices

a chip amp will have infintely better output protection than a home rolled solution - 3x parallel lm3886 should work, if you want to play with higher order compensation you could loop them with a op amp

That is really funny.
Not Chip amplifiers for PA--Man !
I was asking for PA with OP Amp on input. That is all.

Did you check out the Alexander amp in the link i gave you? This design is scalable to any power.

100-200 Watts out may work very well with 4-6 LM3886! What are your demands anyway? Don't forget that you can buy rather cheaply a working PA amp and certainly used.
