Thanks for the reply Mark. I will research your reclocker and study the forum a bit closer. Especially being able to program my own FPGA chip from open source code, I did not know this was possible. Thanks for the links.
Just to be clear, the FPGA firmware from the OP of this PCM2DSD thread is not open source (and that's the version I use). However, @MarcelvdG has shared some VHDL code for the FPGA board of this thread which implements his version of a sigma-delta PWM modulator, along with a few special extra features. In addition it may be helpful to know up front that programming an FPGA is very different from programming a computer. There is a whole new learning curve involved.
