The FEP16DTA and the MUR1620CTR are good subs for the FEN rectifier.

The MJE172 or the BD140 will work as a sub for the 1562 but the pin configuration is reversed so you'll have to install them facing the opposite direction.

These transformers rarely fail and when they do, it's generally only a simple problem like the terminal winding intermittently shorting to another winding which can be resolved by inserting an insulator between them. Unless you see windings that are darkened or have enamel flaking off of them, I wouldn't be concerned.

The transformer was smoky and dusty from the blown ps fets but after cleaning it and inspecting it I see no discoloration or flaking of the enamel unless it is in between windings.
I'll get the components on order, installed and retest with a low amp fuse and report back.
Thanks for the p/n's and the advice.

Great thread fellows!
I have a 700s that has problems I need to dig into one day.
I've talked to Wade Stewart about a year ago about repair.
I just can't afford it right now. He told me it can be modified to full class A for a vary reasonable price. Just out of curiosity what would it take to bias this amp to fully class A?
Thanks, Johnny
