does he have pix of the X15?
I asked for them, he would never provide.
One he thought (felt) was factory built, the other from a kit or plans.
One had a veneer finish, the other a laminate like Formica from his description.
When I asked him for more details, like were they a dimensional match (I did not care about the cosmetic differences) he said they were as much as a half an inch different, whatever that means.
I told him I was still very much interested and asked if he would please provide at least one picture of each; I haven't heard from him since.
All this occurred as he answered an ad I place on "craigslist". He only wanted $125 dollars for the both of them. I would have cheerfully paid that, but he is almost two hours away from me. I didn't want to make the trip only to learn they were fire wood.
When I asked about consistency in dimensions, his reply was maybe these were not what I was looking for.
I would provide you his email contact, but the whole thing was so frustrating, I think I deleted them all.
I was good to go!

Yes, I had a wonderful 15 inch Stephens 150W in a factory-built 15 inch Karlson with an EV T35 (or T350, whichever was the consumer version) sitting in a little box on top... and sometimes mounted behind the front "wings."
For sure, magnificant drivers (and I am a fan of the Karlsons too).
Recently, I blew the dust off the old Stephens and made a giant open baffle sub - no kidding. See post 405:

I wonder how those fine drivers, made to the best of technology at the time with low resonance, big coils, etc., would compare to drivers today?

Wow. They show their Altec-Lansing heritage.
But I think the golden-age of TruSonic (or what any of us elderly can remember) was later with the ring radiator tweeter and prettier gear.
