I am looking for the main capacitors 10000uF, 71V. Can someone direct me where to buy these or something that would fit and work even better ?
panasonic make a good caps ,you can remove and misure size, pin to pin the old ,local eletronic shop or , on line digi-key mouser or what you have in canada

no one can have the exact part number ! caps is a cap put what you can find ...that is the standard or you must send the amp to technics...that will put a panasonic 😉
probably you can misure by only removing the hood with cap in place.....

Yes, I totally understand, what you are saying that I could do. However I have to open it to do so. And so I was hoping that someone already went through that and could share the info.
I'd say open it up. It's a bummer to get a recommendation, spend money and time to get the caps, then open up the case and realize you have a later Revision B of the board that uses different caps (usually smaller in physical size so the ones you bought won't fit mechanically). Been there done that 🙂

Given the age of the amp, most modern caps with similar ratings will be the same size or smaller.
Based on the service manual here: Technics SE-A5 Manual - Stereo Power Amplifier - HiFi Engine
The power supply caps seem to be axial lead parts, so more modern parts should physically fit in the space. The closest modern parts seem to be 10,000 uF @ 80 volts. The slightly higher voltage rating should not cause problems.

Measure the size of the parts in your existing amp, and find some that are physically the same size or smaller.

correct me if I am wrong, you probably meant to say Radial Leads. Yes, some newer vintage capacitors are smaller with same or very similar electrical parameters, no question.
My particular interest, perhaps my bad, I have not clearly ask for that are the mechanical dimensions of the main capacitors.
Height,
Diameter,
Pin Spacing,
Pin Diameter,
Number of Pins.
Or perhaps an original part number so I could look this up on the datasheet before shopping for these without having to open the old lady... 😀
Electrical parameters, I guess I buy the best available that fit the mechanical constraint. (perhaps higher rated voltage, higher rated capacitance, highest rated ripple current and lowest rated ESR).

two pin , there is a standard on caps size...just take a look in post n°2 and post 7 all you need is there , pin to pin and if there is a space in the box , not a rocket science
ps if the pana HA is good for Pass ....
