The best 8" mid bass

Working on a new project of 3way speaker with follow configuration high sensitive Twitter SB Satori TW29BNWG-4 and 8" Mid-bass (over 92- 93 dB) to driven by tube amp,.. and 2 x 8" Subs VISATON GF200 driven by extra active D Class amp.

I cannot make a decision for mid-bass. In narrow selection are now:
- VISATON 200B
- Acoustic Elegance TD8M
- Beyma GH40 8 OH

Any suggestions or your experience are very welcome.

Some other good high efficiency options.
The 18sound 8nmb420 is a very good performing example.
PHL audios 24xx range should all have sufficient efficiency, but the expanded datasheets are not always easy to find for FR etc, but they have some very good models, and others that have a bit worrying impedance graphs, (Lautsprechershop - Lautsprecherbausatz - Lautsprecherversand for example can get FR sheets on request usually).
Have looked at the Acoustic Elegance TD8M myself at time, but the past 2 k breakup seems difficult to tame in a passive xo, and there's a dip around 1k (possible reflection or surround resonance) spec wise it looks excellent, but there is also very little info to find on them in general.
And some other options( 8 inch and 92 db +) in differing price range and suited use.

Best for what?

The only mentioned driver i have any experience with is the Vistaton (B200?), which does good bass, is really a decent FR once you install a phase plug.

Hard to put into a box due to the high Q.

Bert Doppenberg uses 2 in an OB as helper woofers.

Why not two 6” drivers in 2.5 configuration? I think the average 6” in terms of directivity is a better match to the satori WG.

For a tube amp you need to have as linear as possible impedance and 2.5 configuration is one of the worst possible from this point of view because at low frequency you have 2 drivers in parallel, so half impedance, and going high in frequency remain only one driver so the impedance start to increase until nominal impedance of one driver.

The second point of interest is to not use high Q filters because these type of filters will generate a dips in impedance at the crossover point. So is need drivers that not need high slope for filters.

I do not know drivers already pointed until know to do recommendation but at least these are two points that need to be taken in consideration when you chose the drivers.

2.5 system and Subwoofers in parallel, will be powered separately by D Class Hypex amp and separated by DSP ,.. and will have nothing to do with mid-bass and Twitter, which will be powered by a tube amp.
On Tube amp I have two outputs,. one from preamp for subs and power output for speakers.
But thanks for the suggestion about the impedance curve. I will pay attention to it.

How to install A phase plug ? B200.

The B200 benefits incrediably once installed, It makes the response much flatter, with the horid top end greatly improved and flattened. Do note that the drivers real sensitivity of just undder 90dB becomes apparent.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

You can see the process of installation here: planet_10 hifi

When i run ou t of these plugs (also good for the FA22) i will release the drawings.
