I hope plenty of power……2 DIY ICE 500w monoblocks(1) Ignore ASR... it's the modern version of Julian Hirsch and David Ranada.
(2) Give the speakers some time to loosen up.
(3) How much power do you have on hand? IMHO, 100wpc is entry level.
(4) How much do you expect to pay for those subwoofers?
(5) It maybe that the best subwoofer will be a larger Maggie.
(6) How do they sound? Midrange and treble?
I used to have (still do) a pair of 12 hooked up to a pair of Aleph5 monoblocks (90wpc into 4 ohms). Used a pair (still have) of Entec MX5. Played quite well.
Then I upgraded to a pair of 1.7 and a pair of A5s. Seldom use the subwoofers anymore.
But then, I don't play Umlaut Heavy Metal. The loudest I've ever run them was Frampton Come Alive Do You Feel Like We Do? And the occasional Pretenders, The Clash, Stones... and the like.,
Midrange and Treble timbre and detail are amazing!……but response is uneven around the room. There’s simply not a wide listening area……these are for a single listener who likes to sit and enjoy the immersive experience IMO
Now for home theater and movies, with a great monopole center channel with wide dispersion?….the LRS IMO would make for an amazing left and right channel…..a perfect marriage IMO with the mono center locking the info to the screen while the Maggie’s would deliver the ambient sound field.
I had (still have) a pair of Acoustic Reality 200 watt ICE amps. I drove the 12s with them but I felt the treble was closed in (dark).. the bass, OTOH, was incredible...
Eventually, I got tired of the ICE sound. I got an NCore kit ready to be put together... one of these days I might try it with the 1.7. It will be sort of a joke, the small NCore vs the dual 5U A2 black boxes.
Mind you, I'm not against class D. My HT has Nuforce MCA-20.

Magnepan MMG checking in
I made 2 15 inch sealed subs, Dayton MX15. Tight and punchy and matched great with the Magnepans
