Nope, I have a 5mm slab of copper underneath my board, it barely gets above room temp. Just actually measured the temp of my inductors, 43c after an hour at full volume, they felt hot to touch, I may have spent too much time in the office.
Hello gentlemen!
I became the proud owner of FX 502S PRO, so I am trying to raise the topic. The best option for replacing operational amplifiers has been discovered. This is OPA 1656 (I think 1612 will do the same). The sound is qualitatively different from all the options offered here. (adapters for DIP required)
Now this kid will be able to surprise many fans of high-quality sound.

FX 502S PRO very musical and with NE5532 which are original. Also very high quality sockets for microcircuits.
Good OpAmp. However, OPA 1656 surpasses it in all basic parameters by two times. But, most importantly, the microchip allows and is optimized for power supply from 5 volts.
And about the musicality of NE 5532, you can talk for a very long time. But, the sound of 5532 from TI is inferior in "musicality" to 5532 chips from ON Semiconductor.

I wonder what parameters OPA1656 is twice as superior to NE5532?
According to objective parameters, the former is ten times better.
For NE5532 supply voltage from 6 V, but this parameter does not affect sound quality, since in FX 502s the op-amp supply voltage is about 20 Volts.
But I agree that the sound is much better with the OPA1656, you can't argue with that. However progress ...

broken SMD capacitor
Anyone know how I could replace this broken SMD capacitor on this FX D502 class D amplifier? Anyone has a schematic?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

How did it break like that?

I was wondering if there was a way to get an analog line out from the onboard USB DAC, so I opened it up, but instead found that this capacitor was broken. I was broken on one end only at first and then when I touched it with a plastic probe to check, it complete fell off. I'm guessing it drives the subwoofer out which I don't really use anyway.
In anycase, is there anyway to get an analog out before it hits the power amplifier stage? Sorry if this is a naive question. Thanks!

The problem is that - here are the owners of the FX 502S PRO amplifier. Therefore, it is not even possible to measure the value of this capacitor :-( The topologies of the amplifiers are different.
Now, if about the amplifier FX 502S PRO, then I am ready to tell you everything and even more than the "manufacturer" knows 🙂 Sorry that we could not help you :-(
I have changed a few things in the design. But, beforehand, I carefully studied this topic here. The most important and significant for the sound is the change in the output voltage of the power supply. At least 27-28 Volts should be supplied to the amplifier from the power supply. In general, the stock power supply unit is not capable of providing full-fledged sound quality. And you need a power supply for a voltage of 30 volts and a current of 8 amperes. Also in the amplifier, I replaced the output capacitors ( of dubious quality 1uF x 63V for high-frequency polypropylene Panasonic 1uF x 250V), I also replaced NE5532 with OPA1656.
The only info is about big impact in music quality but no explanation why. It is mentioned a big CAP on pin 14 but from the TI datasheet should be pin 9?
With FX 502S PRO Can I change CAP C24 (pin 9) by a big CAP 470uf 16V ? I hope who can teach me clearly.

Yes, I did that (470uF Panasonic FM) on pin 9 and it sounds much better. Dark, Bass and punch. I soldered it over the existing 1uF SMD cap.
