A few years ago I downloaded Valve's World from Japan https://tomo.fine.to/V.World/gallery.html The website is gone, but I have it all.
It's also at the internet archive. https://web.archive.org/web/20160301005445/https://tomo.fine.to/V.World/gallery.html
Scroll down to see pictures. Click on a picture to open a page with other pictures and the schematic. Internet Archive seems to be having a hard time with it, might take several page reloads to see it all. Beautiful stuff.

Unfortunately copyright claims have forced the takedown of the Japanese magazine scans. I have a copy so I suspect the archive is still available somewhere.
jasniew. I can sympathize with you on more than one thing you mentioned. I too have had so many opportunities to buy something on the cheap back in the day that would support me for a month now, if not a year. I see that irst little Princeton for sale every now and then for 5K plus and haven't seen a single one in the shape that mine was. It was a true closet treasure when I bought it. I was smart enough to take pristine care of it while I had it although it was the first amp that I ever modded. I got hooked up with an "amp guru" based in California who sold stuff by mail order and I bought some kit stuff from him. He was pretty cool in that he took the time to read the things i wrote him about and he answered every dumb question I sent him about tube amps, writing it all out by hand. He helped me increase the gain and tweak the tone with the parts he sold me at a very reasonable cost. He also helped me "bullet proof" my baby, or so I believed. I saved all of the original parts that I removed per his instructions and he told me to secure them in the cab so I wouldn't lose them. They were still there when my ex smashed the amp and dumped it. Now, I can especially sympathize with the foggy brain thing you describe. I too am much slower than I used to be decision wise and I actually have a harder time learning new things now. When I was young, I could just read a chapter of fifty pages and ace a test. ow I find myself rereading what I just read nd still forget half of it. If the subject isn't interesting to me....forget it, and I will!
Waxing philosophical, it's strange how just about the time in your life when you can take the time to do the things you always wanted to, you realize your time is getting short, and if tat isn't bad enough it takes more time to even Do what you want. When I was first beginning to work in avionics I was just on the assembly line. right from the beginning I could assemble parts and get boards soldered to spec and had no problem keeping up with

Tubelab_com. Thanks for your reply. I Am checking out that section of the forum although I haven't posted yet. I also noticed the $100 amp contest, but although it would be a hoot of a contest, I just don't have the time at present. I am not the best at that level of economizing either. When I started out I built many small amps including battery powered ones, headphone amps, pedals, and primarily solid state things. The main reason that I posted here is that at present, I have a number of tube Hi-Fi amps and preamps to modify. I also have several Hammond organ amps as well. I bought all of them in operational shape with full compliments of tubes and all were bargains in my estimation. I figured that making contact with some people who were much more familiar with these types of circuits might be a good idea, and it Was! The links that have been offered here are very useful, even if I do not use them Now. I keep every good link and idea "on file" for use at some point. I have a glut of such info, but I lik to be as prepared as possible. I am rather isolated being disabled. Just having contact with knowledgeable, agreeable folks is worth a great deal to me, so once again.....Thanks to everybody who has tried to, and Has helped me with my little experiments!

The contest itself was a one time thing that ran for about a year starting in 2011. There were some time extensions since most of us had day jobs, families, and other distractions to deal with. During that time several guitar amps were designed, built and heavily discussed so that they could be duplicated. The whole thread is a good place to learn about the process of designing and building guitar amps. I built three amps during the course of that thread, the smallest of which I still use. I am now starting down the path to make a new amp or two. They will be discussed in the instruments and amps forum as they develop.

Nice to know Tubelab_com. I will check this out and keep my eye out for developments. hadn't thought about the documentation of the design process used. it has been a long time since I tried to get on with a $100 budget and boy, what a challenge it would be now. Of course, there are ways. You have been around here a long time. It will be good to grab hold of your coat tails and se what turns up. It is a shame that its not very conducive anymore to employ the 'ol dumpster digging I used to employ for saving money and finding little "gems" that one could find. maybe it still goes in the "city" but out where i live one doesn't find much anymore AND you can get in big trouble doing so. You guys around here may know better suppliers where one can save a buck or two as well. I am not that well connected there yet. I pretty much rely on Mouser, Digi Key, and Jameco for most of my supplies except for some things that I stumble across on Amazon. I was finding quite a bit of cheap Chinese stuff on AliExpress but the wait times are terrible and i also got screwed on a few things that iInever received. They have no real customer service so it's buyer beware. I definitely will keep my eye on the section of the forum that deals with instruments and amps, I just haven't had time to post but thus one topic since I get here. To Tell The Truth, I never expected to get so many replies to Anything I would post here. That has been a nice surprise. However, I have always been the type that feels a need/responsibility to reply to anybody who takes the time to give me advice, whether by email or on a forum, Now that I belong to one!
Tom,
I cannot access your site, it’s not possible with my browser (security restrictions, no certificate).
Regards, Gerrit
I intermittently get the security warnings too since I added the security certificate - don't understand but I'll have to discuss with the web host.
I didn't see this one posted. Forgive me if it's a repeat. This is the schematic archive at "EL34 World".

They have a great selection of schematics for guitar/instrument amps. Always worth a little look.
