Wattgate disected

I hate IEC connectors. Hard to create the opening. (why there is no round form-factor is beyond me?) Very narrow trim to allow some slop in metal work. Nothing seems less positive than a typical IEC connection.
Sometimes I direct wire my amps which is fine but unwieldy for larger builds. The Power-con connector is still on the table.
 
Can't see any indication for the wattgate unit that its standards-compliant at all,

A locking C13 can eliminate power cord from being pulled out of the inlet unintentionally.

IMO, A plug hanging half way into a inlet is unacceptable. A C13 plug must be seat fully in the inlet for best connection and contact resistance is more importance than overlap distance!
